Accessibility statement for Akamai SIA Cloud portal

Updated over 2 weeks ago

This accessibility statement applies to the SIA Cloud portal developed by Akamai at https://app.securemobi.net/, or a custom domain of the Akamai services that are offered within the SIA Cloud brand, specifically SIA Mobile, SIA IoT Private Access or SIA Mobile Private Access, AccessMyLAN and any official apps relating to the services you have purchased, referred to by name in your contract.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this portal. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • Change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings

  • Zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen

  • Navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software

  • Listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the text within the portal as simple as possible to understand.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 29th April 2025.

This website was last tested on 15th November 2024. This website was tested for compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines V2.2 level A and level AA, and the test was carried out by Web Usability.

We used the Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM) to select a sample of pages to test.

How accessible this website is

We believe the SIA portal to be mostly accessible. We are aware, however, of some outstanding accessibility issues regarding our third-party service we rely on to host our help center, guided tour and chat bot.

If you find any problems not listed on this page or think we’re not meeting accessibility requirements, contact our support team with a list of issues affecting people, so they can forward it to the appropriate Akamai team.

We’ll consider your request and get back to you in 5 working days.

Enforcement procedure

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the ‘accessibility regulations’). If you’re not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

Technical information about this website’s accessibility

Akamai is committed to making the SIA Cloud Portal accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

This portal is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard due to the non-compliances listed below:

Non-accessible content

Disproportionate burden

We use a third party to deliver some of the functionality on the platform, including the help center, guided tour and chat bot. This functionality presents several accessibility issues:

  • Certain links in the chatbot and guided tours are inaccessible via keyboard

  • Certain elements of the chatbot and guided tours are out of order for keyboard users

  • Certain links in the chatbot are missing focus styling

  • Certain actions in the chatbot are missing appropriate accessible labels

  • Chatbot help search tool automatically updates content as you type, without warning, affecting screen reader users

  • Help center is missing heading elements

We have reached out to the third party outlining all issues identified but they were unable to give their commitment to resolve these within a specific time.

We’ve assessed alternative options to resolve these issues, including changing providers and developing an in-house solution. We believe that doing so now would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations. Our full disproportionate burden assessment report is available on request.
